📗Pre-Season Wk.0 - Hall of Fame Game

👉2026 Hall of Fame Game did not disappoint, as the Panthers and Cardinals traded shots all game long, with Carolina coming out on top 33-30, thanks to a last second miracle touchdown from rookie QB Haynes King.

💻Chalet Stats
👉Carson Beck threw 2 touchdowns, and had a 78.9% completion percentage (15/19).

Haynes King scrambles into the end zone in the dying seconds of the game to help the Panthers defeat the Cardinals

👇Key Takeaways👇

1️⃣Both teams may have backup QB Competition. In Carolina, Bryce Young is at the top of the depth chart, with Kenny Pickett and Haynes King behind. Obviously Bryce Young will start after a breakout year, taking the Panthers to the playoffs, but the backup QB battle is gonna be tight. King was much better than Pickett tonight, but Pickett is more experienced at the NFL level. In my opinion, one great start for King won't get him there, but if he can string one more together, I think he has a much better chance than Pickett. On the other hand for the Cardinals, I think Carson Beck has this one easy. Gardner Minshew has been a mess his whole career, as he has only played one full season in his 8 years. Kedon Slovis looked impressive going 9/10, but I still think it's Carson Beck's job at backup - potentially getting some starts later on in the season

2️⃣Both offenses combined for 63 points, but don't expect much in the regular season. The Cardinals are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, with uncertainty at almost every position, it's unlikely they get over 3 wins. Arizona did draft Jeremiyah Love with the 3rd overall pick, but a bust first rounder Marvin Harrison Jr. and an aging Jacoby Brissett who is quite the bust himself despite going in the third round, don't look like the solution to an already shaky Arizona offence. In Carolina, Bryce Young looks to keep rolling after a breakout season in 2025. Young led his team to the playoffs, where they were very close to beating the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card. The Panthers did lose Rico Dowdle to Pittsburgh following his breakout year, but keep Chuba Hubbard and offensive rookie of the year Tet McMillan. It's fair to say the Panthers offence won't be great this year, but it won't be bad either.
