📗Week 1 - Thursday Night Football
👉Expectations couldn't have been higher for LA, adding the number ranked player of 2025 in Myles Garrett, a top CB in Trent McDuffie, last years touchdown leader Davante Adams, and reigning MVP Matthew Stafford. 49ers on the other hand have dealt with the injury bug for some years now, but it didn't matter as Brock Purdy threw for over 200 yards and steamrolled over the Rams 27-7.
💻Chalet Stats
👉49ers had 58% third down efficiency as oppose to the Rams 22%.
👇Biggest Takeaways👇
1️⃣Brock Purdy may be a top 10 QB after tonight. Before tonight, I personally didn't think he was top 10 worthy, but 27 points on the Rams defence with Myles Garrett, Trent McDuffie and Quentin Lake, is remarkable. Purdy has two new elite weapons in Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel. Even Demarcus Robinson looked good tonight. The Niners did sadly lose Dezhaun Stribling to an ankle injury, he'll miss a month. But If you just look at Purdy, he has all the intangibles to be elite, he has good arm strength, enough speed to avoid good pass rushes - which he did today, and is very accurate.
2️⃣LA will still be a deadly team, but not as deadly as we thought. Most people were expecting this team to go 17-0, 16-1, or 15-2, which, the last 2 are still possibillities, but there are some games on the schedule that can be L's. Week 3 is the Broncos, Week 4 is the Eagles, who they have notably struggled against, Week 5 is the Bills, Week 13 is KC, then 16 and 18 are Seattle. Despite being maybe the most talented teams of all time, I foresee maybe a couple of losses coming up for the Rams.
